Biography of Tsumori Chisato

Tsumori Chisato is a Japanese designer known for her vibrant and playful fashion creations.

Born and raised in Japan, Chisato developed a passion for dressing up dolls during her childhood. Her mother noticed this interest and encouraged her to pursue a career in fashion design. In 1976, Chisato graduated from Bunka Fukusogakuin, the most prestigious fashion college in Japan.

Her talent caught the attention of renowned designer Issey Miyake, who hired her to work on his sports line, Issey Sport.

However, Chisato's aspirations led her to establish her own brand in 1990.
