Robert George Kardashian was born in 1944 in Los Angeles, California, into a family of successful and influential businessmen with Armenian roots.

Despite his family's meat production business, Robert was not interested in it and chose to pursue a career in law. After obtaining his doctorate degree from the University of San Diego, Kardashian practiced law for almost 10 years before venturing into business.
